The Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaaushi has a new aqua wellness center, the first in the Maldives. The new 7,735-square-foot center includes a hydrotherapy pool, ice fountain, steam room, and sauna. The outdoor pool is designed in zones that include a jet bath, air jets, shower jets, and a massage lounger. Each station targets a different part of the body and use varying levels of intensity and water temperature to ease muscle tension, boost the immune system, increase blood circulation, speed up metabolism, and improve deep sleep quality. After the pool experience guests can enjoy a healthy lunch in the garden and a choice of massage, meditation or yoga session.
The hotel also has a range of wellness experts to guide guests through holistic and customized treatments in private sessions. The specialist’s topics range from holistic medicine to martial arts to crystal healing to ayurvedic doctors.
