Amangiri Launches New Wellness Retreats to Start the New Year

Amangiri's two new “Journey to Peace” spiritual retreats reflect humankind’s search for peace – the main pillar of Aman and the meaning of its Sanskrit-derived name. The Grounding Meditation (January 20-23, 2022) and the Silent Retreat (January 25-28, 2022) will be led by Buddhist monk and mindfulness coach, Lama Geshe YongDong. YongDong will share the ancient lessons of the Bon Tibetan Tradition by teaching participants to find peace within. The tradition is based on the belief that peace is an internal state of consciousness that promotes true happiness without external motivation. YongDong will guide individuals through the different stages to achieving this enlightened state and will include changing perceptions, letting go and acceptance, as well as achieving the union of compassion and wisdom, healing anger, and living mindfully. The grounding meditation retreat includes a combination of 60- and 90-minute meditation, breathing, and mindfulness workshops over three days in the mornings and evenings along with breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. The Silent Retreat will be taught in silence and addresses key areas including body and senses, heart and feelings, and mind and thought, uncovering and inner sense of peace that guests can incorporate into their daily lives.
