According to Research and Markets’ recent report titled Health and Wellness Tourism Global Potential 2019, health and wellness tourism has been identified as one of the fastest growing travel segments—increasing at a rate of 7.5 percent per year—and as one of the most lucrative, so it’s unsurprising that companies are developing new attractions across a wide variety of niches. As such, international hotel groups are among those fighting to capture the market share. Here, take a look at some of these international fitness classes that are sure to inspire some wellness travel this summer.

1. AcquaPole

Two of Hyatt’s all-inclusive properties, Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall and Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall (Jamaica), are the first in the Caribbean to introduce the industry’s newest water-based workout: AcquaPole. The multi-function pole allows users to perform over 150 workouts form cardio-heavy boxing to strength enhancing body building. Thanks to water resistance, the workouts help sculpt abs, shoulders, and hips all while building endurance. 

2. Underwater Yoga

Get inspiration for your yoga flow inside the aquarium at Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai. The Lost Chambers Aquarium (one of the top 10 largest aquariums in the world) hosts a Hatha yoga class every Tuesday and Friday morning inside the aquarium’s observatory, which boasts 180-degree views of the aquarium and more than 65,000 marine animals.

3. Cow Cuddling

5. Beer + Yoga

The Collective Brewing Project in Fort Worth, TX is ready to help you balance—both in yoga and diet. Guests in the neighborhood are invited to bring their own yoga mat for a fun and relaxing yoga experience in the Collective Brewing Project taproom, followed by a local beer tasting. $20 grants attendees an hour-long yoga class suitable for both the novice and expert, as well as three beverage choices including beer, kombucha, or cold brew coffee.

6. Surf Concierge
