MindBody, a technology platform for the wellness services industry, recently announced its acquisition of FitMetrix, a software designed for wellness businesses to increase retention and provide clients with an interactive fitness experience.

A MindBody platform partner since 2015, FitMetrix gives boutique fitness studios, gyms, and health clubs the capability to integrate digital performance tracking across several classes and equipment types. Studios can track, rank, display, and instantly reward clients based on real-time results, as well as create customized workouts using the determined metrics.

In addition to performance tracking, FitMetrix also offers pick-a-spot software capalities, allowing class attendees to reserve a specific class spot or fitness equipment. The software can also be fully branded to the look and feel of the specific studio, including branded web and mobile app offerings with workout metrics and automated staff management tools.
