Thanks to new and innovative technology, the 2019 My Face My Body Awards will be virtual for the first time. This move will allow the industry’s largest aesthetic awards program to become global, opening up to businesses around the world. Previously only hosted in large cities such as London, Los Angeles, and Sydney, the virtual awards will now reach entries further into remote regions in places such as Antarctica, South America, and Africa.
The awards will be held as part of the Global Virtual Aesthetics Summit (GVAS), which takes place Nov. 10-11, and will be presented by Stephen Handisides, CEO of My Face My Body and GVAS. GVAS is an innovative two-day event, incorporating both the awards as well as clinical and business programs presented by some of the world’s leading industry speakers, all in a virtual space.
“Each year, we receive hundreds of inquiries from professionals and practices to run the My Face My Body awards in their respective countries,” says Handisides. “We wanted to make this a reality. For eight years we have provided the industry with our respected and credible awards, and it was time to celebrate and recognize the amazing work of aesthetic practices, individuals, and brands in all countries.”
In addition to being recognized regionally, each local winner will be submitted for the chance to be awarded the accolade of the overall global awards winner, allowing winning individuals, clinics, and brands to be recognized on an international scale.
Submissions are open for 54 categories including best practice, best plastic surgeon, and medispa of the year, as well as new dental practice categories. The panel of judges will be announced soon, and will include some of the world’s most respected plastic surgeons.
The My Face My Body Virtual Awards are brought by brand partners including The Medical Business Academy, Merz Institute of Advanced Aesthetics, Wigmore Medical, MSF Companies, Déesee Pro, iS Clinical, Venus Concept USA, SmartGraft, Thermi, HydroPeptide, Aesthetic Experts Lab., Advanced Skin Technology, Evolus, and CosmoFrance.
